Florence and Anthony Rodale Exhibit Photographs @ Chateau Loudenne, Medoc, France
In the heart of the Bordeaux wine making region, Chateau Loudenne, built in the 17th century, is situated on the banks of the Gironde River where all Nature’s elements come together for making great wine, the soil, the climate, water and expert wine makers.
From July 28th to September 8th Florence and I were invited to exhibit our photographs at Chateau Loudenne in the wine tasting room, a large red room where Florence’s Windows Into The Soul Of Time series and my Perpetual Movement series work well together and add another visual layer to this timeless and peaceful place.
If you happen to be traveling in the area or would like to in the future Chateau Loudenne offers more than just great wine. The Chateau is an experience of the timeless past and present with comfortable time period rooms available for lodging, 132 hectares of vines and gardens with views on the Gironde River and incredible large country kitchen where your host Mme. Lafragette will make sure your dining experience is unforgettable. Tours of the Chateau and Chais (wine-storehouse) are also available:

Welcome to AnthonyRodale.com. After traveling to all four corners of the world during the past 20 years, making photographs of communities and individuals living and working from the land, I have begun a new photographic project that connects my passion for photography, a mutli-sport lifestyle, and the need to have a healthy environment to live in.
Using the experience as a multi-sport athlete, my new photographic work is based on the concept of Perpetual Movement. The goal is to make a series of photographs that transcend the reality of a location and focus on the unseen energies and waves of individual or collective movement. Its time to see and feel the environment in a new way.
This first project in the series, “Land and Body”, was made at a nightly workout session on a beach in Dakar, Senegal, West Africa.
The “Land and Body” photographs will be on display in France, July 18th to 26th, at Chateau Bejac Romelys and Chateau Loudenne as a part of the Exposition International D’Art Contemporian in Saint Yzans de Medoc.
